My story

Name: Rosalind Franklin Sex: Female Estimated Age: About 2 years old (as of 3/1/25) Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Short Hair Mix Weight: About 8 pounds Good With: People, dogs, and other cats and kittens! Story: Rosalind is an adorable Domestic Short Hair Mix cat, who came to us from a shelter in North Carolina. We are just not sure how she ended up in there, but we are so happy to have her with us now in a foster home! Rosalind is a happy and sweet young cat. She spends her days playing with her foster family and chasing all the fun toys they have. When she’s done it’s nap time or cuddling with her humans! What my foster says: Rosalind is very curious, sweet, and affectionate. She loves to take naps with you and will headbutt you for chin scratches, which get her purring loud. She can also be active and playful, and especially enjoys playing with her feather string toy. She has no problems using the litter box and is ok to stay home alone for a few hours.  The fee to adopt Rosalind is $200 ($325 for two kittens). This covers the cost of vaccines appropriate for her age, her spay, the collar she’s wearing, her transport to DC and her care in her foster home. Rosalind has been seen by a shelter vet (or other vet) and we are not aware of any health issues. Are you ready to give Rosalind the love and attention she deserves?
