My story

Ms. Velveteen is a confident and loving lady that above all else wants a best friend. She absolutely loves her people and will happily follow you around the house chirping on about her day. This is not a one-way conversation because she will also listen to everything you have to say and is known to offer her opinion from time to time.Needless to say Velvee does love attention when she is not basking in the sunshine or watching birds out the window. With just a few brush strokes and chin scratches she will settle next to her person for some good TV or an old fashion cat nap. Don’t be alarmed if she sticks her tongue out…this is definitely a good thing!Velveteen was a recent momma that is now getting her figure back along with some of her fur... kind of like a well loved stuffed bunny… She is a tall girl with expressive eyes and a beautiful soul. She is a litter box pro, loves her seafood and might do well with a young or submissive kitty friend. She would otherwise be happy to be your one and only and keep all of your love for herself!Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information. ** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. HOW TO ADOPT: Check the animal’s location.From Cat Adoption/Cattery/Free Roaming Room (in shelter):To meet this cat please come to Seattle Animal Shelter at 2061 15th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119, between 1 – 5 pm one of on one of our open days, no appointment needed. We are open on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We are closed for adoptions on Monday, Friday, and all holidays. Copy and paste the adoption survey link into a new tab on your browser: https://bit.ly/SAScatsurvey 2. Download and complete the cat survey. 3. Save the survey to your device with a new file name that includes your last name. Make sure it`s filled in when opened again. 4. Put the name of the cat(s) in the Subject Line of a new email.
