My story

Jewel is a brave and beautiful girl who has already overcome so much in her young life. After being attacked by other dogs, she came to KC Pet Project where she received the medical care, love, and support she needed to heal—both physically and emotionally. Thanks to the dedication of our amazing team, Jewel has made an incredible recovery and is now ready to start a brand-new chapter in a safe, loving home. Through everything, Jewel has remained gentle, resilient, and full of quiet strength. Recently, she got to enjoy a Dog Day Out and showed us just how ready she is for life beyond the shelter! Her volunteer shared that Jewel is a bubbly girl with lots of energy, and she clearly adores people. She would absolutely thrive in a home with a big backyard where she can run, play, and just be a dog. Jewel is more than ready to find the family who will show her the love she’s always deserved.
