THYME

My story

Meet Thyme. He was born on 5/15/24 and is a Lab mixed breed. We are heartbroken at the prospect of him spending his 1st birthday in a cage. We really need help finding him a family. Some dogs do a lot better than others in a shelter setting but this poor guy is really struggling. His siblings are both thriving in foster homes and he would really love a break from the noise. Please consider changing his life by coming in to apply to foster or adopt him.  Thyme is a very affectionate boy once he knows you and feels safe. His new family will need to have patience with him while he adjusts to life outside of the shelter. He requires a home with a fully fenced in yard so he can play and explore safely. He will be SO worth the time and effort and is going to make an amazing best friend. He would love a home with another dog (pending a successful meet and greet) and we think it would definitely help with his confidence  He is up to date on vaccinations. *PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO STRINGENT OUT OF STATE HEALTH CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS WE ARE NOW ONLY ADOPTING TO RHODE ISLAND RESIDENTS*. We apologize for the inconvenience. HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: 1. Come in during adoption hours to apply and full out an application completely. We have applications on site. Open adoption hours take place at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston, RI. We are open every Wednesday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. 2. We require proof of homeownership (tax form, deed, mortgage statement) or landlord approval (a copy of your lease that clearly states you are allowed to have a dog, puppy, cat, or kitten OR written and signed consent from your landlord. 3. We require copies of up to date vet records for any current pets. Helpful reminders: *We do not do same day adoptions. *Please bring the entire family in to meet the animal you are interested in. *We will setup a meet and greet with your dog at a later date. PLEASE do not bring your dog with you when you come in to apply.
