My story

Meet Gilbert, a senior dog with a youthful spirit. His energy is contagious, bringing a playful atmosphere to any room he enters. Don`t let his age fool you, Gilbert`s smart and independent nature makes him a quick learner. He`s house and leash trained, making him an easy companion for walks or just lounging at home. He weighs a slight chunky 32 pounds and likes car rides, walks, and chase. He loves running more than anything! He knows the stay, come, no, down, and off commands. If he runs away while off leash, he`ll come back if you call him. Gilbert is sometimes a bit noisy and has a habit of begging, but his mellow and easygoing personality makes him irresistibly lovable. He`s the perfect blend of gentle and friendly, always ready for a cuddle session. His affectionate nature is sure to melt your heart. Gilbert is submissive with other dogs while also being easygoing, friendly and playful, preferring a peaceful coexistence. However, he can be a bit jumpy around children, requiring a patient hand, but he is gentle with all ages. Despite his maturity, Gilbert is a bit needy, appreciating companionship and petting. His excitable nature makes every day an adventure. He was given up because a new family member was allergic to him.
