My story

881 Days and Counting… JJ is So Ready to Go Home 🐾 Meet JJ, our handsome tabby heartthrob who’s been holding it down at the shelter for over 2.5 years — that’s 881+ days without a family to call his own. 😿 He’s about 5.5–6 years old now and has officially earned “shelter legend” status. Staff favorite? Oh, absolutely. 🤫 JJ is all about his people — he soaks up human attention like a sponge. And if you stop petting him before he's ready? He’ll gently remind you with a little nibble, just to keep your priorities straight. 😂 (He’s equally expressive if you pet him too much — classic cat behavior. We respect the honesty.) He’s FIV+, but don’t let that scare you off! JJ lives peacefully with non-FIV cats and just asks that everyone be polite and not in-his-face. He’s been known to throw down a playful tackle here and there, so he’s not all fluff. 😉 We’re more than happy to answer any FIV questions — Team FIV all the way! 💪 JJ says “no thanks” to dogs and young kids, but he’d thrive in a chill home with respectful feline roommates or as your one-and-only snuggle king. Lately, JJ’s been losing a bit of weight and getting picky with his food — we’ve run tests and everything checks out fine, so we worry he’s just getting weary of shelter life. Despite this, he’s still playful, loving, and always seeking connection. He deserves more than a kennel… he deserves a couch, a window perch, and a human to call his own.
