My story

Why walk when you can run? That’s Princess Charlotte’s motto! This spunky girl came to us with an old, untreated leg injury, and while our medical team made the tough call to amputate, Charlotte didn’t miss a beat. Three legs? No problem. She’s faster than ever and ready to zoom into her forever home!Big thanks to her amazing foster, Suzy, for helping her recover. Charlotte is thriving with her two doggy foster siblings, proving that a missing leg is not a missing spirit! She’s active, playful, and smart—already learning sit, down, and stay! She just needs a family to keep up with her energy and help her continue to shine.Charlotte enjoys engaging in playful activities such as tug-of-war and relishing squeaky toys. She has a unique penchant for `singing the song of her people,` adding a charming touch to her personality. Unlike some dogs that thrive in social settings, Charlotte prefers the comfort and familiarity of home, cherishing quality time with her human family over being a social butterfly. When introducing Charlotte to new people, it`s essential to proceed with patience and care. She requires a slow introduction and for new people to hold off on immediate pets. She does best when she approaches new individuals on her own terms. This approach allows her to feel secure and in control during interactions. If you would like to meet Princess Charlotte, please stop by SPCA Cincinnati to visit her and all our other adoptable pets.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Princess Charlotte, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
