My story

Sofie has been through a lot, but with patience, love, and consistency, she’s blossoming into a wonderful companion. She’s a calm and curious girl who enjoys daily walks, cuddle sessions, and exploring the world at her own pace. Sofie has learned so much in her foster home—she’s potty-trained, knows how to use a doggy door, walks well on a leash, and understands cues like “sit” and “bed.” She can be a little hesitant in new situations, but with a gentle and reassuring approach, she builds confidence quickly. She’s still learning about the world—cars, people, and other dogs on walks pique her curiosity, and while she may need slow introductions to other pups, she’s making great progress. Sofie has some playful puppy tendencies and might grab a shoe or charger if left unattended, but she’s easily redirected with one of her favorite toys (especially her little sloth or a good chew toy!). Sofie isn’t a big barker, but she does let out happy growls when she’s excited to play. She’s not a fan of crates, so she’d do best in a home where she can have a comfy space like a kitchen or large bathroom when left alone. She’s still adjusting to things like gates but is making strides with patience and encouragement. At around 45 pounds, Sofie is the perfect size for couch snuggles and adventure walks alike. She needs a calm and loving home that will continue her training, provide her with structure, and help her continue to build confidence in the world around her.
