Delma - IN FOSTER

My story

Meet Delma (Delly)5 years old, 50 lbs. Wigglebutt/Cuddlebug breedIf you are looking for an easy going, well adjusted friend, Delma (Delly) is your girl.I was only planning a long weekend dog date over Easter weekend, but she is so great and easy to live with, I knew I would foster her. She walked in my house the first day totally comfortable, no adjustment period. She has loved being in the backyard with me, `helping` me cut grass (she followed me the whole time!) She is not a velcro dog, but I am no longer allowed to sit in the recliner, she insists that I sit on the couch with her??. Here is why Delma/Delly is so great:-Housebroken-Crate Trained (sleeps thought the night quietly)-Medium energy - although her energy level will match yours-Treat motivated -Commands - sit, down, working on stay (she will stay until she thinks it has been long enough??)-Loves people! We are working on her people greeting skills, keeping her excitement manageable. Shortly her energy level dissipates and interactions are great. (remember 50lbs of wigglebutt)-Loves dogs (M&G suggested) She has played with my neighbors Shepard mix. Delma is not reactive to any dogs on walks or neighbors dogs at fence barking crazy (my neighbors have commented how good she is)-Good on leash, loves 2-3 short walks a day. Loves the backyard with her people (alone not so much), she has already claimed her spot on the patio furniture-Front seat co pilot - loves going to the park (she enjoys shorter walks, may not be a long distance walker) -Takes treats gentle - no food or bowl guarding
