My story

Momcat (gray) and Dot (tuxedo). Possibly mother/daughter, but unknown. They are 18 and 15 years old. Their very loving owner died in December and left stipulations in her will for the care of the cats. Momcat is a big snuggler. Dot is rather reclusive, but will talk with people and sit in the room with them. They have been living alone since August 2024, when their owner became ill, with daily check-ins from family.  They were originally rescued in New York City 10+ years ago. Their owner was doing TNR work and managed to get these two bonded girls to come into her house and stay. They moved with her to Detroit a few years ago to be closer to family. They have lived quietly and happily as the only children of their single owner until her untimely illness.  Ferndale Cat Shelter is happy to take over the care of these precious girls for however long they may be with us.  ##2297904##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dot, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
