My story

Hi, this is Lady, a sweet, 10-month-old pitbull mix-breed puppy who found herself on the streets of Dallas without a home. She is playful, gentle, with a happy personality. She is crate trained and does pretty well on a leash; fairly certain she hasn`t had much experience going for walks with her humans just yet. She is still learning a few manners, like not putting our paws on people when excited and pulling on the leash when we first get going. Once she has an opportunity to expel some energy, she walks well and pulls much less if any. Lady LOVES to play with other dogs. She is very fast and loves a buddy. If your dog is full of energy and likes to play, they will make great companions. Our dog is 9 and does not play much anymore, but Lady is gentle with her, although she wants to play. She mostly gets to run with other young dogs in our neighborhood. Overall, for having no formal training she is a delight. Lady likes to play with ALL toys, especially fetch, either with a regular stick from your yard or a giant Kong rope and ball that she can throw around. She just got her first bath and found it to be acceptable; we could tell she was slightly hesitant at first about the hose, but adapted quickly. She loves being pet and scratched. She cannot get enough of your attention. She most certainly will be a lap dog snuggle buddy. Lady does this cute thing where she likes to walk through your legs. She is extremely friendly with strangers, is not aggressive, and does not bark at other dogs or cats that we pass in the neighborhood. She has not met small children yet, she did see an infant in a carrier and paid no attention to him, so stay tuned for updates. She is a good eater and so far, hasn`t shown any signs of resource guarding. Lady rides GREAT in a car and enjoys going along for the ride, if only to nap. She also experienced her first thunderstorm this week and she was not reactive to the sounds. Lady will make a great life-long companion for a lucky family that is ready to welcome her into their lives and her forever home. Will you be the lucky family to adopt our Ladybug? ?? Lady can’t wait to meet you. Reach out to us, her foster family and hit the “I’m Interested” button.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt LADY, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
