These little dogs often pack a lot of spirit into a small body, bringing enthusiasm and fun into any household. While they can be determined and sometimes strong-willed, they’re also incredibly loyal and loving. A terrier mix thrives on affection and stimulation, and they make spunky, devoted companions who never let life get boring. Toto’s Story & Personality: Toto’s story is one of strength, recovery, and heart. After being abandoned and hit by a car, Toto arrived at Crisis Dogs NC in rough shape—paralyzed and badly injured. But this tiny fighter has come a long way. He’s regained much of his mobility, can climb stairs, and loves exploring the yard just like any other dog. While he may move a bit more slowly and wear diapers due to incontinence, Toto doesn’t let that stop him from being affectionate and happy. His foster describes him as a “total lovebug” who always wants to be close to his person. He’s dog selective, so any canine housemates should meet him first to ensure a good match. Toto is looking for a patient, understanding adopter who can accommodate his physical needs and give him the love and comfort he deserves.
