My story

Animal Profile: Say Hello to Apollo!  energetic 7-year-old was adopted from Dog Gone Seattle in 2018 and is now looking for a new home due to changes in his family situation. He’s a loving, active dog who enjoys hiking, running, and tug-of-war, but is also happy to relax at home after a good walk. Apollo gets along well with people and other dogs, but had previously shown some food-related resource guarding with the other dog in his home. We are happy to report that during his time in foster care, his resource guarding around food has majorly improved and he’s happy to take treats near his foster sister and eats his meals in his crate. Apollo is house-trained, crate-trained, and would do well in an apartment setting as long as he gets daily exercise and has a fellow canine companion. He’s in excellent health, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. Three years ago, he had an anal gland removed and was successfully treated for cancer—he’s had no issues since and continues to thrive! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from a high-kill CA shelter in 2018 and is being returned to the rescue due to some life and behavioral changes.June 5, 2025, 3:46 pm
