My story

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to SEA💟 Meet Dorothy♠️ 💙 Dorothy's News Account: @gks_.skd 1⃣ Health Condition * Spayed. * Other: Microchipped. * Has corneal edema, requiring consistent application of eye drops. This condition is not contagious. * Seems to overgroom recently and more attention has been paid in brushing her and cleaning the room. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Dorothy was found roaming alone on the floor of Gimje Shelter by a volunteer. Although her mother was with her, the extreme heat prevented her from caring for Dorothy, leading to her urgent rescue. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is shy and scared more of men, so she may need a little time to warm up to them. Greets women with wagging her tail but refuses to be touched by unfamiliar women. Once comfortable, she becomes affectionate and playful, even giving kisses. Shows lots of affection and likes to be held by familiar people. Likes sleeping close to a person. * With Dogs: Gets closer to smaller dogs first! Growls up and gets defensive toward bigger dogs. Gets along well with familiar dogs. * With Cats: Coexisted peacefully with cats without any issues at the center. * Separation Anxiety: Can stay alone without barking or showing anxiety. Even sleeps well on her own. * Potty Training: Is pad-trained and adapts easily even when the pad’s location is changed. Sometimes makes fecal mistakes. Has no marking issue and prefers outdoor potty! * Walks: Stays near the bush and calms down a little at the beginning of going out for a walk, and then starts walking. Is interested in birds, so pulls on the leash when she wants to get closer. * Hygiene: Is comfortable with grooming, including baths, brushing, nail trimming, and drying. * Car Sickness: Starts to drool right after a car starts and experiences vomiting during a long distance drive. Therefore, it's good to get off in the middle and take a walk. * Nibble: Does not bite at all! * Barking: Whines either there's an outside noise or when she wants to get out of kennel. * Like It: Loves people so much that she jumps around excitedly and expresses affection by gently nibbling. It would be good to provide some training to help manage this behavior. * Dislike It: Is scared of loud noises from buses, cars, and motorcycles, but is okay with other sounds like vacuum cleaners. Fears unfamiliar men. * Tricks: Learned the commands such as "Sit down", "Lie down", "Wait", and "House"!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dorothy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
