Charity is at our Bucktown Adoption Center (2144 N. Wood St.) You can visit our Adoption Center at any time during open hours, no appointment needed. Charity is: Spayed: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized More about Charity: Housebroken: Yes! Crate trained: She has done well with free roam of a room when home alone and overnight Leash walking: She is a loose leash walker and has been doing well overall, but can be scared of big loud trucks Dog social: Charity generally likes other dogs, but may guard resources like food and treats, so as with all dogs, safe management of resources is recommended. Cat social: Charity has lived with a cat with mixed success - she is interested and may chase. Likely best in a cat-free home but may do well with a confident cat. Kid friendly: Charity hasn't lived with kids in OTAT's care, but has done well in brief interactions. Charity likes: - Getting pets from her person - Showing off her graceful hops - Making new friends Charity is a true sweetheart with great indoor manners. She'll come up to you and sit when she wants attention. She wants to be near you but not on top of you, which is great because she's not a petite girl. She seems to understand that there are rules and that she should follow them. She loves to rest her head on a pillow when she sleeps and it's the cutest thing. She really wants to make human friends on walks, and she'll go up to their hand and gently try to sneak a pet. Charity is heartworm positive and on activity restriction. Her treatment has been completed, and no further treatment is indicated. Heartworm is a treatable disease that most dogs make a full recovery from. You can learn more about heartworm treatment on our resource page -https://www.onetail.org/heartworm/ Charity's adoption fee is $300, and she is ready to give her love to her person! Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/ *** Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program. Once the app is submitted you will receive an email within 48-72 hours. For additional questions, email adopt@onetail.org ***
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Charity, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
