My story

Klaus is a one year old Boston Terrier who is in need of a forever home!! He is a high energy boy! Klaus is good with other dogs, but sometimes his energy is too much for the other dog and he may annoy them. He likes to be the boss around other dogs. He loves to go on a walk and short play dates with his dog friends, but he tends to be a bully when he get excited. He needs an experienced owner since he has some quirks- like he is barrier protective in the kennel at the vet or at adoptions (hence why he does not come to adoptions). However, he is fine in a pen and when walking out of a crate at home. We think that he would do fine with older kids, but not with toddlers. He is a lap dog who LOVES attention, but he is too much energy for kids and does not know manners around kids yet. He can totally learn those, but for now we are looking for a home without toddlers. Klaus is working on crate training, but he is NOT housetrained yet. Prior to coming to us, he does not act like he has spent much time inside a home. He would do best with an owner who works from home or is home frequently in order to get him on a solid frequent schedule to teach him housetraining. Klaus is full grown and weighs 24 pounds. If you are interested in adopting Klaus, please fill out an application at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY-A-61856 **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete. When filling out an application, please check for a confirmation email to be sure that your application went through. We respond by email, so please check your spam and trash folders. If you need to reach us regarding your application, the best way to contact us is through email.** We are located in Fayette County, GA and are a foster based rescue without a shelter building.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Klaus, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
