My story

Geraldine is a 1.5 year old, 40-pound Alaskan Klee Kai who is available for adoption at Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR), Fort Lauderdale’s only no-kill animal shelter. For those who don’t know, an Alaskan Klee Kai is a smaller breed resembling a husky that is known for its intelligence, beauty, and spirited personality, and this sweet, playful girl embodies that perfectly!While Geraldine looks like she belongs in the snow, this Florida girl loves water! She has a blast splashing around the pool. She’s also a great car buddy and a star at adoption events - friendly, curious, and happy to meet new people. At the shelter, she’s been good with other dogs, though she prefers to keep her toys to herself. For that reason, we simply remove toys during playgroups. Geraldine loves attention just as much as she enjoys a good run or play session. She’s incredibly clever and would thrive in a home that understands her need for mental stimulation and adventure.
