This sweet senior boy has a heart as big as Texas and a love that knows no bounds. Despite a rough start as a stray in Houston, where he found himself on the euthanasia list in a high-kill shelter, Merlin never lost his kind and gentle spirit. Merlin is the definition of love—he wants nothing more than to be by your side, soaking up all the cuddles and affection you have to give. He adores kids, gets along beautifully with other dogs, and even loves cats! His easygoing nature and warm heart make him the perfect addition to any family. Merlin is currently receiving treatment for heartworm, and he’s doing great. He’s ready for a second chance at the love and care he so deeply deserves. Could you be the one to give Merlin the happily ever after he’s been waiting for?   ***He is heart worm positive and currently on the slow kill treatment.  MERLIN IS CURRENTLY IN HOUSTON, TX, BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc.). Our adoption fee is $200 plus health certificate ($50) and transport ($200 for most locations). This adoption fee includes all current basic vaccinations, deworming, microchip (with lifetime registration), fecal analysis, neuter, and a heartworm test. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a health certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of transport.
