Dapper gentleman!Meet Newton – The Dapper Gentleman! Looking for a dog with both style and smarts? Meet Newton, a handsome 1-year-old brindle Mastiff mix, weighing about 65 pounds. With his regal looks and impeccable manners, Newton is the definition of dapper—but despite his charm, he was overlooked at an overcrowded shelter. Fortunately, his luck changed, and he was selected for a board and train program at Ridgeside K9 Central MD to polish his skills and prepare for his forever home. Smart, Eager, and Full of Personality Newton quickly impressed his trainers with his enthusiasm for learning. He’s food-motivated, eager to please, and already knows Sit, Paw, Down, and basic leash manners. His training is focusing on: &#226&#156&#133 Obedience & impulse control &#226&#156&#133 Leash walking & engagement with his handler &#226&#156&#133 Advanced commands like recall with distance & distractions &#226&#156&#133 Socialization with other dogs & people of all ages &#226&#156&#133 Exposure to public places for confidence-building Newton loves people and has a playful, joyful energy, acting like a much younger pup when he jumps, runs, and interacts. He has shown an affectionate nature—especially towards women—and has been friendly with dogs of all sizes. His training will help determine the best home environment for him. Since he was found as an underweight stray, Newton is still filling out to reach a healthy weight.
