My story

Hey y’all – it’s Fiona, checking in with a quick update… I’ve been having a great time at my foster home! I’ve managed to charm my old, grumpy foster brother – I wouldn’t say he adores my attention, but he definitely tolerates it (progress!). I am still practicing my new tricks – I’ve got “Sit” and “Down” totally mastered, and I’ve started to work on “Stay” and “Come.” I am a quick and motivated student (when treats are involved). I sleep in my crate at night in my foster’s bedroom, and I am really cooperative and easy through the night. I also take naps in my crate when my foster folks need to leave for a little while. I really prefer just to snooze in my dog bed, but I understand that the crate is the safest place for me when nobody is at home. Potty training is coming along very well - I rarely have accidents inside, and I am learning to hold it for a while when I have to. I am really looking forward to when I can take walks! I’ve started to practice on a leash in my backyard, and I think I’m pretty good at it. I get a little distracted by the leash, but it’s super easy to distract me more with a treat! I have all this great puppy energy, so I am really excited for walks after I get my last round of puppy vaccinations. In the meantime, I have lots of toys to play with in the backyard. I like to fetch my ball and my squeaker. Sometimes I turn that into a game of keep-away because I am fast and clever! I can’t wait to meet my fur-ever family, and if you are looking your new bestie, I’m your girl. Fiona is a female Lab/German Shepherd mix who was born 12/22/2024. As of 3/22, she weighs 20 lbs.
