My story

Hi there! My name’s Sparky, and I’m a one-year-old pup with a soft spot for tennis balls and quiet cuddles. The first part of my life was a little rough as I lived in a neglectful situation, but I’m making up for lost time now and learning what it means to just be a dog—and I think I’m doing pretty well, if I say so myself!I’m a bit of a shy guy, so I’m looking for a calm and patient forever home with someone who understands that trust takes time. Once I warm up to you, I’ll be your loyal cuddle buddy—I love being brushed, petted, and snuggling up on the couch. I’m housebroken, really enjoy peaceful walks around the neighborhood, and I’m obsessed with playing fetch in the backyard. Whoever invented tennis balls deserves an award.Here’s what would make my tail wag:-A quiet home with an experienced dog person-A fenced-in yard (I’m still figuring out the leash-potty thing)-Someone who’s home a lot, especially at first, to help me settle in-And, of course, plenty of tennis ballsI live with two cats right now and think they’re pretty fun! I’ve lived with dogs before, too, and might be open to a new furry friend, depending on the vibe.If you think we might be a good match, I’d love to meet you.
