My story

Ares is a three-year-old, 55-pound brindle mixed breed adopted from a rescue that refused to take him back because he and another dog he didn’t know had a dust-up. A volunteer stepped in and took him to keep him from going back to the shelter, but she is moving out of the country this summer and can’t take Ares with her. Ares is a loving dog who thrives in a home with medium to high-energy dogs of similar size. While he can be shy initially, he quickly warms up and loves to play. He loves people but can be nervous around children. He is fully housetrained and has been left alone at home for up to seven hours without issue. Ares is a good dog with some tough breaks but has so much potential to thrive in the right home. With patience and understanding, he will make an amazing companion for the right family.
