My story

“There are few things in life more heartwarming than to be welcomed by a cat.” And our Shire hopes to welcome a family to love and care for her. Meet Princess Shire! Every castle needs a queen, and Shire is ready to claim her throne! This beautiful 1-year-old girl has had an incredible glow-up during her time at the shelter. When she first arrived, poor Shire was battling an autoimmune condition that made her feet swollen and painful, along with stubborn upper respiratory infections. But after lots of TLC (and a little bit of magic), Shire has blossomed into the healthy, stunning princess she was always meant to be — just take a look at her fairy-tale-worthy “after” photo! These days, Shire enjoys living life in royal fashion: lounging in her soft princess bed, batting at her favorite toys, and looking absolutely fabulous while doing it. We lovingly call her our “Pretty Pretty Princess,” and she wears the title with pride. Like any true royal, Shire appreciates a bit of polite formality at first. She can be shy when meeting new subjects, but once you show her that you’re gentle and kind, she’ll reward you with plenty of affection and a playful, spunky side. Because sudden movements can still make her a little nervous, Shire would prefer a home without small children. However, she does enjoy the company of other feline nobles! E-mail ccacangels@yahoo.com for more information! Please come visit! We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt SHIRE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
