Katya is such a sweet little girl who is looking to give all the kisses Foster Home Feedback 5/26/2025 Foster Feedback: Katya is a sweet, snuggly, playful little loaf of love. She loves all people, she's dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and excels in bird watching. While she is very playful and enjoys tug, fetch, running around with her foster brothers, or some good old doggy wrestling, she's also incredibly snuggly and is down to nap next to you on the couch a majority of the time. One of her favorite activities is neighborhood watch. Katya takes her post at the top of the deck to watch out over the backyard very seriously. Her favorite backyard spot is the heated seat she's found on top of the hot tub. While Katya is thriving now, unfortunately, she hasn't had an easy path. She suffered a tail injury back in October and spent the winter recovering and working toward getting her back to the wonderful and sweet girl she is. Her foster family is very excited to report that after 7 long months, Katya is finally ready to find her forever family. Katya will need a family who can give her some time to acclimate to a new space. This might look like spending the first day or two at home with her before having to leave her alone for an extended period of time, going outside with her for her first couple of trips to the bathroom, and/or just allowing her to sniff and explore her new home. Katya is very comfortable in her foster home and can be kenneled during the day while her foster parents are at work with no issues. She enjoys having a Kong and a bone to occupy her time, but spends most of her day sleeping. At night, she sleeps on the couch next to her foster brother; though her favorite nights are the ones where she is allowed to sleep in bed with her foster parents because she loves snuggling -- if you could ask her, the bed would be her first pick. After working through this while she battled her injury, she is also finally potty trained and only does her business outside. Katya's family calls her Pig because of the little piggy snorts and sounds she makes. This girl sees herself as a lap dog and will make herself cozy right on top of you. Your feet will never be cold again as she will sit on them to keep you warm and protected. This girl is a wonderful mix of loving, playful, snuggly, goofy and smart. People tend to fall in love with her pretty quickly and she happily reciprocates it. Katya is going to be a little rescue jackpot for someone. 5/12/25 Foster Home Feedback: Katya is sweet and mild mannered; she loves napping on the couch and playing in the yard. She walks well on a leash, enjoys the company of her foster siblings, and loves people. This little girl is amenable to meeting new people and warms up almost immediately. She likes treats and scratches and puzzle games. Katya would do well in a home that could keep her engaged and active but also wants a pup that likes naps. 8/26/2024 Foster Feedback: We’ve had Katya with us for about a week and have quickly fallen in love with her. She is a sweet, playful little goofball. Katya loves playing with her foster brothers by chasing them around and wrestling- she definitely has a lot of personality. Her foster brothers don't have as much energy as her so she entertains herself often too. She enjoys playing fetch and chewing on toys and bones; she sticks to doggy-approved items and hasn’t tried chewing on anything she shouldn’t! With that being said, she is still a pup in that mouthy phase, so she does nibble on us humans when playing, but we are working on redirecting that and she does well! We do call Katya our little bowling ball. She has the beefiest little body with short stubby legs. Her ears do the cutest little ‘one-up/one-down’ thing. You will fall in love with her cute stature immediately. Katya has been doing great with pottying outside. She had a couple accidents within the first two days with us but you can’t blame a girl when she hadn’t learned where the bathroom was yet. I monitor her and get her outside regularly, and she seems to know that going outside means treats! She’s a smart lady that wants to please you and work for treats. With her young age, she’s still working on fine tuning her manners, such as jumpiness, but that seems to occur out of excitement and she understands quickly how to fix it. She’s our little shadow and trots around the house and yard wherever we go. Katya is such an enjoyable little pup. She is a 40-lb lap dog who loves snuggling. Since she is new to us and we are working on training, we kennel her while we are gone and at night. She’d love to snuggle all night in bed and does nap in bed like a champ when she gets the chance. She doesn’t seem to love her kennel, but is quiet all night long and while we are at work. She just gives you sad puppy eyes going in - she’s whined for 30-60 seconds on a couple of occasions. Someone is going to be very lucky to take this little love home and make her part of their family. To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org June 6, 2025, 9:42 pm
