My story

Petey was rescued from the county euthanasia list in March 2025, and he’s been thriving ever since. Once at risk due to fear and stress, this charming boy has transformed into a charismatic, affectionate pup bursting with puppy-like energy and love. Petey adores spending time with our volunteers and has quickly become a favorite. He’s potty trained, walks well on a leash, and already knows a few basic commands. He has also slowly started being introduced to other ANM dogs and has shown a positive interest, engaging with curiosity and friendliness. With his big heart and joyful spirit, Petey is ready to bring love and companionship to his forever home. Petey is a 3-year-old, 50-pound German Wirehaired Pointer–Border Terrier mix.
