My story

Meet Casidy!Casidy (FKA Jesse) recently rejoined our rescue. She is approximately 3 years old, 51 lbs currently, and she likely is a Treeing Walker Coonhound. She was initially surrendered to our rescue because she was a hunting dog that didn`t hunt. In her foster home, she is showing off her house training and leash training skills. She isn`t typically crated. She does have separation anxiety so her future family will need to be committed to working with a certified positive reinforcement trainer to help her get more comfortable being home alone.She could go to a home (no apartments please!) with kids 10+, dog savvy cats, and maybe mellow male dogs or no dogs (preferred). She cannot be adopted to a home with female dogs as she has had issues with other female dogs in the past.She was positive for Heartworm but has been treated and is now negative!Her foster says, `What I can say about her is she`s probably the sweetest being I`ve ever come across and she just wants to be loved. She loves walks, car rides, and going for a swim. At the end of the day she requires a lap for her head. She will do a little dance at feeding time its super cute. At times will chase the cat in a playful way other times couldn`t be bothered by the cat. She still a little jumpy when excited so older kids would be fine, my 9 year old handled her fine.`She is available for adoption by appointment in Hopkinton, MA.
