My story

Meet Jesse! Jesse is approximately 3 years old, 54 lbs currently, and she likely is a Treeing Walker Coonhound. She was surrendered because she was a hunting dog that didn`t hunt. In her foster home, she is working hard on her house-training, crate training, and does NOT have experience leash walking. She could go to a home (no apartments please!) with kids 10+, dog savvy cats, and other playful dogs. She needs a fenced in yard. She was positive for Heartworm but has been treated and is now negative!Her foster says, `Jessie is super sweet! She loves to run and play with my other dogs. She is very loving and likes to know what you are doing. She sleeps with me and the other dogs at night. I did not use the crate much because she had been boarded since the end of August last year until December of 2024, and I wanted her to have some freedom. She does well in the house while I’m at work. She does have an accident occasionally but she is pretty much potty trained. She has not chewed on anything she shouldn’t. I keep plenty of toys in and outside of the house. She does jump on the counters only because she follows her nose. We have been working on this and she is doing better. She also used to jump up on people only because she is so loving and curious. We have been working on this as well and she is doing great! She does okay on a leash but may need more training. She will make someone a great addition to their family!!! She will be missed very much -- has been a wonderful pup to foster!!`She is available for adoption by appointment in Hopkinton, MA.
