Tied to a tree, left behind when her owners moved away, she survived with nothing but a weathered doghouse and the kindness of a neighbor who brought food and straw. But survival isn’t living—and Annabelle deserved so much more. When we brought her into our rescue, we gave her what was likely her first soft bed and warm, dry shelter. And in return, she gave us the biggest gift: joy. Annabelle greeted her new life with a wagging tail, endless gratitude, and an open, loving heart. Despite all she’s been through, Annabelle is happy, healthy, and full of love. Her spirit is unbreakable—she’s curious, affectionate, and always ready for a belly rub or a treat. You’d never guess the hardships she’s faced, because Annabelle has chosen love over bitterness, hope over fear. She’s a sweet, soulful girl who just wants a couch to curl up on, a human to adore, and the simple comforts she’s waited a lifetime for.
