My story

Quick Facts Name: Yeoni  Age: 4 years old approximate (born January 1, 2021 approximate)  Gender: Male Neutered/Sprayed: Yes Breed: Jindo Mix   Color: Black & Yellow Weight: 21.5kg   All About Me Hi, I’m Yeoni! I’m a calm and gentle four-year-old Jindo mix with a sleek black coat and a quiet, thoughtful nature. Weighing 21.5kg (47.4lb), I have a strong yet elegant build and a peaceful presence. My story began in the wild near Bukhansan, where I grew up receiving food from kind people. At five months old, I was captured by the local authorities, but thankfully, I was rescued and given a second chance. After spending a year in a shelter, I’ve been living in a foster home since July 2022, and now, I’m hoping to find a forever home where I can finally belong.   My Personality I’m naturally reserved and take my time getting to know new people. At first, I may observe from a distance, but if you offer me a treat, I’ll happily accept it. With patience and kindness, I slowly open up, and once I trust you, I enjoy gentle pets and belly rubs. I’m not one to demand attention, but I appreciate quiet companionship and will stay close by, offering my steady and loyal presence.   Social Skills With people, I take a cautious but curious approach. I don’t immediately seek affection, but I warm up over time and show my trust by rolling over to let you rub my belly. I can be picked up if needed, but I prefer to keep all four paws on the ground. With other dogs, I’m friendly and polite, especially with those similar in size to me. I greet them calmly and don’t engage in rough play. If another dog gets too energetic, I step away rather than react. I haven’t had much experience with cats, but when I see them on walks, I watch with curiosity and easily move along when my human guides me.   Energy and Activities I have a low-energy temperament and enjoy peaceful moments of rest. I like spending time outside but prefer a slow-paced, thoughtful walk where I can take my time sniffing and exploring. I don’t pull on the leash, but I do like to pause frequently to take in my surroundings. Running and high-energy activities don’t really suit me—I’d rather enjoy a quiet walk and then relax in a cozy spot.   Training and Habits I’m well-behaved and easygoing. I don’t guard my food or toys and am not reactive to people or other dogs around my meals. I rarely bark, so I won’t be noisy in the home. I’m fully house-trained and prefer to go to the bathroom outside. I also ride well in the car, easily hopping in and out on my own. I have good recall in fenced areas, but if I’m off-leash in the mountains, I sometimes take my time returning, usually coming back after 10 to 15 minutes.   My Ideal Home  I would do best in a patient and understanding home where I’m given time to settle in. A quiet environment with predictable routines would help me feel secure. While I get along with other dogs, I don’t need a playmate—I’d be just as happy as an only dog in a peaceful home where I can build a strong bond with my family. A secure yard would be a bonus, as I enjoy spending time outdoors in a safe space.   Special Notes I have a thick coat and slightly oily skin, so regular brushing will help keep me comfortable. In hot weather, I love cooling my belly on a cool surface or in the shade. In 2024, I had minor issues with my anal glands, but they healed fully with treatment. I’m a quiet and steady companion who needs a little time to adjust, but once I do, I’ll be devoted and loyal for life. If you’re looking for a gentle, easygoing dog who enjoys peaceful walks and quiet companionship, I might be the perfect match for you. I can’t wait to find a home where I truly belong.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbaPfLNiW9k&list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jzq_YeTz2Kt0bvfrmyk5V5P ##2308646##
