My story

Meet Chita, a lovable short stack and total cuddle bug who’s sure to steal your heart! Chita is crate-trained, non-destructive, and has been an absolute joy to have in her foster home. She’s lived with other dogs, big and small, and has a gentle play style that responds well to corrections. She`s been a huge hit going to the office with her foster, where she`s been happy to say hi to everyone and settle under the desk for a nap.Chita`s easygoing and not sensitive to being touched, and would likely thrive in a family with children (she’s lived with kids before). When she`s excited, she loves to nuzzle her head into you and then flop over onto her back—it`s the cutest thing ever.Chita is also well-mannered—she doesn’t jump up and is a champ in the car, settling down nicely for rides. While she’ll need a little leash training (she can get a bit too excited when she sees other dogs or fast-moving objects), she’s been responsive to counter-conditioning training. She`s happy to take a treat instead of barking when a bike goes by, and without those triggers, she walks nicely on a leash. If you’re looking for a cuddly companion who will make you smile please reach out to meet Chita! You can email her foster directly at michelawilson@gmail.com

If you have any questions or would like to adopt CHITA, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
