My story

Almond is confused why he isn’t adopted yet!! Almond is a sweet 10-month-old Chihuahua mix looking for his forever home in Los Angeles, California. Almond’s story almost ended too soon. He was on the brink of being euthanized at a shelter simply because he was too scared in that overwhelming environment. But Almond was given a second chance, and with the love and care of his foster family, he is slowly blossoming into the loving companion he was always meant to be. Now, Almond is in a foster home where he’s learning that humans can be kind and trustworthy. He’s fully vetted, house trained, and ready to start the next chapter of his life. Almond is a true survivor, and with the right family, he will continue to grow into the confident, playful pup he’s meant to be. Almond is dog and human approved—he gets along well with both! However, he is still learning to be comfortable on leash and will thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can explore and build his confidence in a safe space.
