This laid-back and super sweet girl came into rescue after being surrendered by her owner alongside a recent litter of puppies. Now that the puppies have weaned and she's had consistent care, Lucy-girl is getting some pep back in her step. She is a pocket-pyr, weighing in around 70 lbs and sporting a smaller stature than the breed standard. She is leash-trained, gets along with cats and other dogs, and politely waits for attention and affection from her people. Lucy has not had the princess treatment yet in her short life, and would benefit from a loving foster home while she awaits her forever family. But if she sounds like the pyrfect addition to your family, by all means, she hopes you’ll apply to be her furever! We know that she prioritizes gentle cuddles and enjoys being outside in the sun with her person. A 5-foot fenced yard would suit her fine. These dogs travel with an Interstate Health Certificate required by the USDA confirming that all the above criteria have been met. Fees: Adoption fees are determined on a sliding scale depending on age, location and transport. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues.
