My story

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! ALGLAUDYX (named after a black dragon) was trapped by an independent trapper in San Bernardino, California. He was then brought to one of our hosted clinics. He was a hot mess. He had lots of abscesses, his eye has a scratched cornea, and he was so unhealthy. The trapper was asked by the vet to hold him for a few weeks to have him recover from all his injuries. You see Tom Cats will fight to the death when they aren't fixed. And this poor guy has seen his fair amount of brawls. So the rescue mama heard the conversation and said she would take him and try to get him healthy and see if he decides to be friendly. and well, here he is! Meet ALGLAUDYX, a wise and seasoned Bombay cat from San Bernardino, California who is adjusting to the good life indoors after a rough start. His dark, sleek black coat and gentle eyes tell the story of a cat who has seen it all and is now looking for a cozy spot to call his own. Despite his hard-knock past, ALGLAUDYX is the epitome of chill. He loves nothing more than lounging on a sunny window ledge, taking in the world outside at his own pace. This laid-back guy is still settling into indoor life, but he’s already shown his love for the simple things—a good neck rub and a tasty meal are sure ways to win his heart. He’s a fan of Churru and canned food, making meal time something to look forward to. Though he’s not one to rush into new experiences, ALGLAUDYX has never picked a fight with any of his fellow feline companions and tends to steer clear of drama. In fact, he’s quite peaceful and enjoys his personal space. He gets a bit startled at times, but with patience, he’s learning to trust and feel at ease in his new surroundings. ALGLAUDYX hasn't had the chance to interact with dogs or young children yet, but he’s shown a calm and non-confrontational nature with other cats, so he’s likely to adapt to a quiet and gentle household. What he really needs most is a loving, patient home where he can continue to adjust to indoor life at his own pace. He’s not demanding, but a little extra TLC and understanding go a long way with him. He is about 4 years and 11 months old. ALGLAUDYX is good with cats. He has never been around children or dogs. ALGLAUDYX is currently located at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com/adopt 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. Will be notified of Approved Application 6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty 8. Sign Adoption Contract 9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH) 10. Take the Kitty Home ********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA, BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP********* FEBUARY 2025: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 5 pm - 8 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and Sunday 4 pm - 7 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours. Store hours change with holidays. ******************* If you call the PETSMART location, please ask them to physically check the cattery door for the current week's VISITING HOURS. ****************** The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below. PETSMART in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated! ************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one available to take calls. ************* If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient. ALGLAUDYX is ALREADY fully vetted. The adoption fee of $200 covers: Neuter FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens.
