Dolly, so gentle, so loving

My story

Dolly was estimated to be 8 yrs old by the shelter staff but based on her youthful looks and her level of energy, we think that she is younger, more accurately around 5 years old. She weighs 11 lbs. She is so cute and elegant with her tiny folded ears and long muscular legs that give her great mobility! She has sparkling eyes and white clean teeth. She had a dental cleaning done and lost a few lower front teeth but this does not affect her good looks. She is a healthy little dog, who adores eating, is very alert and keeps her bright eyes on her caregiver’s every move. Her favourite occupation is to watch her foster mom potter around the kitchen. She also loves to chew on raw hide bones. Every now and then, she comes to her foster mom for a little petting and gives her kisses to thank her for the attention she just received. She does this happy little welcoming dance when her foster mom comes home or when she sees her preparing her food bowl! She is very affectionate and gives her favourite human lots of kisses and will politely ask to sit on her when she wants to be held. She is shy when first meeting strangers but quickly warms up with a treat and especially if there is another friendly dog around to lead the way. This cutie is very very gentle and sweet as honey and never displays any fear aggression. It does not take her long to fall in love with her caregivers. Dolly is pee pad trained and well housebroken. She can also be given the run of the house as she is not destructive. She loves other dogs and is respectful and submissive to them; she is a follower, not a leader, so a home where there is another dog friendly dog would be great. Dolly will alert and bark when someone is at the door. This little gal is a true gem, such a pleasure to have around, great reliable ever present and devoted company.
