Draco

My story

Draco was our long-term resident at the shelter. Then about 3 weeks ago, he got his big break with a chance with a great family, but unfortunately, Draco is back at the shelter looking for a better fit for his personality. Here is what we knew about Draco while he was at the shelter: He is two years old, Great Pyrenees and lab mix, fully vetted and neutered, did great with other dogs, he is mellow, quiet and highly intelligent. Here is what we learned while with the family: He is house trained, listens to every command, won’t even go out the open gates or into the house with the door open if he is told no. Draco does like it in the house and will let you know when he needs to go outside. He loves truck rides and playing with the family. Draco did very well with their 4yr old daughter. Draco was rescued to be trained as a working farm dog but it turns out he is much more suited to be a loving pet. Draco has an intense curiosity and a prey drive that created problems for the chickens and other small animals. Video shows how well he listens to commands and showcases his endless potential in the right setting (not a home with chickens or small animals). Home trial visits are an option.
