My story

Ace is a charming 3-year-old pup who has truly blossomed in foster care. Once shy and cautious, Ace has grown into a relaxed, affectionate dog who enjoys lounging on the couch, cuddling with his people, and spending time with his fellow canine companions. His confidence has improved tremendously—he now enjoys backyard playtime, exploring, and relaxing in shared spaces instead of hiding. Ace thrives best in a quiet home with 2–3 people and other friendly dogs. He feels safest and happiest in a pack environment and would do best with at least one resident dog to help him continue building confidence. A home without young children would be ideal for his comfort. Ace is doing well with house training and uses pee pads reliably, especially in cold weather. While leash training is still new to him, he’s smart and willing to learn as he becomes more comfortable. He can be a little tricky to corral back inside after outdoor play, but it’s all part of his playful, slightly mischievous charm. Speaking of mischief—Ace loves sneaking off with socks, shoes, and remotes when left to his own devices. But at his core, he’s a quiet, easygoing pup who genuinely enjoys the company of humans and other dogs alike. He’s even been known to climb onto the couch for a cuddle while you’re napping! Ace has shown he’s ready for adoption on his own, as long as he’s placed in a home with other dogs. He’s started doing things independently—choosing to sleep upstairs away from his foster sister, exploring the backyard solo, and even going on separate walks. He’s growing into his independence and is ready to start the next chapter of his life. If you have a calm home and a warm heart (and maybe a few socks you don’t mind sharing), Ace just might be your perfect match.
