Who's that spunky, smart, and loving boy with the soft, fluffy coat? It's Bear S'mores! And he really wants to meet you. Watch Bear's video here: https://youtu.be/ysTkuxDMCkE Bear's main goals in life are to love and be loved. He thinks people are the greatest! And he finds new ways to show it every day. His foster mom calls him BearBear -- why? Well he's just so nice, you gotta say it twice! At 4 months old and 30 lbs, this adorable pup greets the world with confidence and joy. He's always tail-up happy and eager to face whatever comes next. He loves to wrestle with his siblings, play ball, and discover new smells and sights. He especially loves taking off with the ball and having his pals chase him around. Regardless of whatever action is going on, he'll always pause and come check on his humans. People are always on Bear's mind. He loves adults and kids alike! He spends a lot of time playing with 6- and 8-year-old girls. He loves hugs, gives plenty of kisses, and rolls on his back for a belly rub. Oh, that soft belly! It's irresistible! Bear gets along great with other dogs. His best friends include his litter mates, his mom, and his foster grandma dog, who gently teaches him boundaries and manners. He's respectful of her corrections, the good boy. He learns from humans too, of course. Bear already knows how to sit for treats and is learning to sit like a gentleman when he wants to be held too. His desire to please people makes him an ideal dog to train. We think the S'mores litter might be a mix of lab and pittie, but with rescues we're always just guessing. What we know for sure is that they're going to grow up to be fantastic family dogs. They're off to a great start with a safe and loving foster home. They are already crate trained, know "sit," and are working on their leash skills. They're learning about yummy treats like filled kongs and pup cups while on their many adventures. Bear is eager to explore the world. First of all, he wants to show off his new, adoptive family to the neighborhood by strutting around on a leash and meeting every neighbor. Next, he hopes to go on broader adventures like the park, coffee shops, breweries... this confident boy would love to take it all in. And every step of the way, he'll be spreading the love. Will you be his super special partner? He can't wait! Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport.
