PENELOPE

My story

Notes from foster about Penelope:·         She is 3 years old and around 60 lbs.         She is potty trained.         She knows sit, down, come, and is good on a leash!         She is very easy to train and incredibly loving.         She is very calm and easy going! She loves hugs and attention but does not demand it.         She loves watching TV and cuddling up for naps!         She is great home alone in a small apartment and does not destroy anything.         She is great at bars with crowds, dogs, and other people! She was just happy to be there!         She barely barks and does not make any noise inside.         She received her first injection for HW treatment March 20th, so she has been on exercise restriction, but she has done very well! She loves to nap and loves her leash walks.         She is not aggressive or reactive with other dogs! She has not played off the leash much with others since receiving HW treatment, but she seemed to do well with other dogs before treatment! She did seem to have a little bit of a rough play style with other dogs, but she adjusted quickly if a dog corrected her! She definitely loves making other dog friends!!         She used to be slow to warm up to some people, but she has made a ton of progress since I have had her, and she tends to love meeting new people. It sometimes just takes her a second!Overall, Penelope is an awesome companion. She started out as a short-term foster, and I fell in love and couldn`t return her back to the shelter! I would totally continue to foster her or even adopt if my circumstances allowed it . I`ve cared for and owned tons of dogs over the years, and she is by far the easiest dog I have cared for. She is so incredibly sweet and loving! I hope she finds a home soon!
