My story

Meet Venus, a 9-month-old Labrador Retriever and Terrier mix who was surrendered to Big Dog Ranch Rescue along with his five siblings by an owner who could no longer care for them. Now this sweet, playful pup is ready to start a new chapter with a family of his own. With a moderate energy level, Venus is the perfect mix of active and affectionate. He enjoys playtime with his toys and gets along well with other dogs, but he also loves to wind down and snuggle up for some quality cuddle time. His friendly nature makes him a great fit for homes with children, and he’d be a wonderful match for a first-time dog owner. Venus is decent on a leash and is currently working on learning his basic commands. Like many young dogs, he’ll benefit from continued training and structure to help him grow into a well-mannered companion. This lovable boy is full of potential and heart.
