Microchipped, DOB: Dec 3, 2010 Chad is a beautiful cuddly boy who loves to spend his days curled up on you purring or snoozing somewhere nearby in a cozy spot. He also enjoys chasing a laser pointer around and also really enjoys his cat nip toys too. Chad is a sucker for chin scratches and will give you endless head boops to show his appreciation for them in return. He's like a shadow to his favourite human, and will follow them around the house staying close by (especially if you're going to the kitchen for treats!) Chad has a cyst on his kidney and anemia and has been diagnosed with kidney disease. This condition is progressive and Chad is considered palliative. His kidney disease can be slowed by providing access to multiple sources of water, and reducing environmental stress to keep him calm and happy. As he doesn't enjoy the renal diet food, Chad is allowed to eat any cat food he would like so that his anemia can be controlled. His adopter would need to monitor for signs of weight loss, poor coat, and excessive drinking. It's recommended to perform blood work every 6 months and speak with a veterinarian regarding options as the symptoms progress. This loving boy deserves to find love in his forever home, so if you're looking for a best friend to shower you with affection and stay by your side, Chad is a great match for you! Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family. An adoption fee of your choice is appreciated instead of our standard adult cat adoption fee of $225.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chad *declawed*, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
