My story

Cookie Monster was rescued by Smittens with the help of the Feral Cat Coalition with 11 other cats from a rescue that recently shut down. The owner abandoned the cats, and the cats were placed in the care of the estate sale company. These cats were living in horrible conditions, some living in filthy cages for 5 years, and were overall neglected as well as completely unsocialized. Upon further evaluation, Cookie Monster is now doing really well! She is a beautiful dilute torti that is still a bit shy, timid, and will need some time to warm up. Slow introductions are important. Cookie Monster sure does love head rubs after she’s built her trust with you! She’s a very chatty girl once she feels at home - especially when you walk through the door after a long day. Cookie Monster also enjoys lounging in a comfy bed - maybe even cuddled up right next to you! She’s always alert and curious, keeping a close eye on everything around her. At night, she enjoys some solo playtime with her toy mouse. Cookie Monster would thrive best in a home without other cats, or with a calm, easygoing feline friend who won’t overwhelm her gentle nature. Cookie Monster is ready to be adopted to a patient home that will be able to work with her some more so she can really come out of her shell. Please give her the chance to finally have the consistency, love, and care that she deserves.
