My story

Meet Flower! Right now, she’s being the best girl while getting her refresher training done in Schenectady, NY—and you can meet her there! This 2.5-year-old, 40-pound Staffordshire Terrier mix is a compact bundle of love and charm—once she decides you’ve earned it. Playtime Queen…..: Flower has two great loves—tennis balls and snuggles. But don’t expect fetch! Her favorite game is soccer. Off leash, she’ll kick the ball to you with her front paws like a tiny athlete. She could play for hours and never get tired. Cuddle Bug…..: When playtime is done, Flower shows her softer side. She’s an active cuddler, making silly little grumbles while snuggling close—it’s her way of saying “this is the life.” She warms up gradually to new people and tends to prefer women, but she’s also made bonds with some of our male volunteers, proving her heart is open to love in all forms. House Guest Approved...: Flower has even stayed at a volunteer’s home, where she lounged poolside and behaved like the perfect guest. She’s housetrained, spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. Her energy level is “just right”—not too much, not too little—and cuddling on the couch remains her favorite pastime. Best Match….: Flower will thrive as the only dog or with another calm, well-balanced pup. She’s not a fan of pushy types—when she met Tibby, our feisty Jack Russell, she politely kept her distance.
