My story

Hi, I&#39m Dandadan, a sweet and shy grey and white gentleman looking for a quiet, loving home where I can finally feel safe and comfortable. I was born approximately 12/17/2019. I might need a little time to warm up, but once I do, I&#39m a total snugglebug. I&#39ve got a funny little quirk--my purr sounds like a growl! Don&#39t worry, though, it&#39s just my way of showing how much I enjoy your company. I love chin scratches and soft affection, but I get a little nervous with loud noises, so a calm environment would be best for me. I&#39ve had some challenges in my life, but I&#39ve always stayed sweet and hopeful. I was surrendered to HSPPR because I was having trouble getting along with the other pets in my previous home, I was urinating outside the litter box and my owner thought I deserved a quieter, more peaceful place where I could truly thrive. I have hip dysplasia combined with some congenital deformities of the bones. At this time the orthopedic vet doesn&#39t recommend FHO surgery because with my bone weirdness, and it could do more harm than good. I also have slight right side weakness, so my vet recommended a possible neuro workup in the future. I get Solensia which is a monthly shot to see if it improves my gait. I am such a sweet guy ready to find my forever home! I just want you to be aware that I could need more medical attention down the road for the hip dysplasia. I&#39d do best in a home without other pets and with older teenagers or adults who can give me the calm, quiet life I need. I promise, in return, I&#39ll be your loyal, purring (or growly-purring!) companion who will fill your days with love and snuggles.
