Meet Russell – The Tough Guy with a Heart of Gold Russell may look like a hardened street cat with his signature resting angry cat face, but underneath that rugged exterior is a teddy bear just waiting for the right person to show him love. At 8-9 years old, Russell has been through a lot—he survived a hoarding situation where he spent years in an outdoor dog kennel with many other cats, enduring a cherry eye, severe dental issues, and untreated ear infections. His body carries the scars of his past, but thanks to his time in foster care, he’s had eye and dental surgery and is finally healthy. While Russell has come a long way, he still needs patience to fully trust. He would thrive in a calm home, preferably with other cats, where he can continue to blossom at his own pace. Due to his past untreated ear infections, he has narrow ear canals, making him prone to infections, so his adopter should be prepared for some ongoing ear care. If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind cat with a tough-guy look but a soft heart, Russell might be your perfect match. Give this survivor the loving home he’s always deserved!
