My story

Bernie is a new resident to our adoption floor and a special one at that! This three-year-old kitty is FeLV+ and will need to be the only cat in his forever home or with a kitty pal that is also FeLV+ as it is a contagious disease to other cats. It is a disease that weakens the immune system and while it cannot be determined when it will happen, there will eventually be clinical signs that go along with it. Bernie is looking for a loving home who will love him for the time they have with him and provide him with any possible medical care needed at that point! Bernie is a heartbreakingly sweet boy and wants nothing more than to get snuggled! When he isn't curled up for a nap, he's on the hunt for is some pets. He has the cutest little ears and definitely likes to get them scratched! Bernie is a boy with a little extra floof to him that will need some upkeep in his forever home. He certainly doesn't mind being brushed as that is extra time for him to be getting attention! While he is a lazy boy, he is also very curious and likes to check out his surroundings including the cat trees we have here at the shelter!
