My story

Hi there! I’m King Charles—but my foster mom calls me Black Beauty. I think it suits me, don’t you?I’m a handsome, lovable boy who’s all about companionship. I love to talk—seriously, I’ll follow you around the house telling you all about my day (and probably yours too). I’m happiest when I’m near my person, rubbing against your legs, purring like a motorboat, and reminding you I’m here for cuddles.I’m just about a year old but already a big guy at 15 pounds, and I plan on growing into an even more majestic presence. I’ve got free roam of the house, and I use my litter box like a pro. My favorite activities include professional-level napping (the more sprawled out, the better), bird-watching (I really want to figure out how to get in that parakeet cage…), and sneaking underfoot, so be careful where you step!I wasn’t sure about the big dog at first, but guess what? We’re best buds now and nap side by side. I haven’t been around other cats or kids yet, but I’m open-minded and gaining confidence every day.I’m looking for a home where I can be your shadow, your sidekick, your chatty companion. I do fine while you`re at work, but I’ll be extra thrilled if you’re home a lot—I have a lot of stories to tell and cuddles to give.If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, talkative boy with a big heart (and an even bigger presence), I’m ready to meet you. I just know my forever home is out there—and it’s going to be worth the wait for both of us!My adoption fee of $25 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday, Friday and Saturday are walk in from 10-5.
