My story

Meet Dustin!Dustin is an almost 2 year old Mini Australian Shepherd, who is looking for a very patient and loving home. He`s quite timid around new people and surroundings and will need time to decompress and come out of his shell.Dustin is VERY dog friendly and loves to play with his friends. His little wiggle butt is adorable with his friends. He`s been exposed to chickens and would love to herd them if offered the chance! However, he`s unsure of cats. Before rescue, he was herding cattle on a ranch, but now enjoys the calm rest of a loving home. He needs a secure fenced yard to keep his herding tendencies safe at home.Dustin is house trained and will let you know by pacing the back door or chatting about how he needs to go outside.He really loves his crate! Like so so much. He naps the days away, safely tucked inside with the door open, and then sleeps all night - without a peep!Dustin is timid around new people and would benefit from a home either without kids or with older kids who can respect his space. He prefers women and it would be best if his forever home had another dog so he can learn how to be a dog.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt.
