Valkyrie

My story

Valkyrie was sadly abandoned by her owners outside of the HSSM adoptions door. She was left in a black wire kennel in the middle of a cold January night. She had to wait all alone through the night until our staff got here and rushed her inside to get her warm and comfortable. We promised her we would do better for her than her previous owners. We named her Valkyrie for the strong, brave girl she is.We have taken her out for walks (she will grab the leash and walk herself out the door in the cutest way!)We have made sure she has had big beds and blankets so she stays comfortable at night.We make sure we give her all the treats and pets we can so she feels loved.But at the end of the day the shelter is not a home - and she has been waiting long enough for her own.Valkyrie is 8 yrs young, heartworm negative, and ready for her second chance home. She is on the smaller side so a medium bed will do just fine. She still loves a romp in the yard (we believe she is house trained) and she goes from the saddest face you have ever seen to the happiest girl in the universe when she realizes she`s about to get out into the sun. She will sit ever so politely for a treat and gives the goofiest expressions while she waits. She deserves the chance at a forever home so she can at long last nap in the sunshine knowing she`s safe and cared for. She doesn`t ask for much and she will give you a lifetime of love in return! Ask to meet Valkyrie and you won`t regret it!
