My story

Meet Erin, a loving 4-year-old mixed breed who, along with her best friend Emilia, was rescued from the devastating California wildfires in January 2025 and brought to Big Dog Ranch to start a new life. These two girls have been through a lot together, and they’re looking for a forever home as a bonded pair. Erin is playful, loyal, and full of life. With her high energy, she would thrive with an adopter who has experience with dogs and can provide both exercise and structure. Whether it’s playing fetch in the yard or enjoying interactive toys indoors, she’s happiest when she’s active and engaged. She gets along well with other dogs and is housetrained. Erin knows basic commands, loves her toys, and is especially fond of cuddling once she’s had some time to warm up. She’s also good with kids, as long as interactions are supervised. Despite her rough start, Erin is resilient and incredibly affectionate. Her bond with Emilia runs deep, and they bring out the best in each other. Adopted together, they’ll fill your home with love, laughter, and companionship.
