My story

Hi! My name is Macy and I am a one year old female white and grey domestic shorthair kitty. I am a gentle and sweet soul who is still adjusting to the comforts of indoor life. Prior to being rescued, I was living in a part of Los Angeles, where there was a lot of scary noises, big trucks always driving by, and lots of competition for food. I am loving the safe, warm, and peaceful indoor life but I’m also so used to surviving on my own that I am building up my trust in people. I have a loving heart but need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. While I enjoy affection and will seek it out from you, I also have my own boundaries and appreciate a home that will respect my pace. With kindness and patience, I will blossom into a devoted companion, rewarding my person with lots of love and cuddles. We rescue from kill shelters and from the street, manage feral colonies, and promote TNR (trap, neuter, release). We need your help! Please adopt a pet from a Rescue. We respond to daily emergencies, fully vet each cat, release ferals back into their colonies, rehabilitate some, make sick cats well, hold adoption fairs, educate the public, and place a strong emphasis on sourcing donations through events & fundraisers so that this work may continue.
