My story

A volunteer writes: Dior thinks he's a tough guy, but he's not. When I approached his kennel and opened the door, he hissed at me, thinking it would deter me. As soon as I touched him, he softened and felt bad for starting us off on the wrong foot (he didn't confirm this but I'd like to think so). Dior is quite nice and loved receiving neck and chin scratches. He also has a funny personality and interesting hobbies, one in which is modeling. As I photographed him he sprawled out, striking every single pose, practicing to be on the next cover of Vogue. This makes complete sense that his name is Dior. If you are looking to add some designer to zest up your life, Dior is ready to help you.Dior was in the kennel, looking fairly calm, sniffed treats, but was initially wary of petting. But as soon as the assessor got his hands on his cheeks, he began leaning in for cheek petting. At a certain point, he became slightly conflicted and gave a single hiss, but then resumed enjoying petting. Later, he gave another single hiss but continued to enjoy petting warming up slowly overtime. He likes squeeze up treats.Dior interacts with the observer, solicits & appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with either an average amount of cat experience or demonstrate a basic understanding of typical cat behavior.
